A Vendor at the Farmer's Market
Kate grew up in Jenkintown and fondly remembers the time when there was a corner grocery store, a fresh vegetable market, a fresh fish store, and more. Gazing daily out on the large square outside Rhinoceros in Jenkintown, Kate decided that it could happen right there outside the shop! She contacted a few local farmers, beginning a chain reaction that ended with Rhinoceros’s creation of the Jenkintown Farmer’s Market. Since that day, Kate continues to manage the Market, working with the individual farmers to expand the wonderful variety of delicious locally-grown food. All of the farmers there are independent, local farmers. Many have organic or transitional farms. All have delicious wares to sell. Come every Wednesday, buy lunch, walk around town, sit in the gazebo, wander, and enjoy!
Location: Jenkintown Town Square (across from Rhinoceros Gamery and Toy Store)
Hours: Every Wednesday from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm.
