Class & Club Descriptions

Interested in a specific class or club?

We need 3 children to schedule sessions run by Rhinoceros®, Gamey, Activity & Toy Store staff and 4 children to run a class with a visiting artist. If you are interested please contact us, we create lists of people who are interested in specific classes or clubs. When we have enough people interested, we work with you to schedule a time that works for all.

Classes and clubs are usually scheduled once a week for one hour. Other class days and times can be arranged if you have a group of 3 or more children.

The classes below are facilitated by our wonderful Rhinoceros®, Gamery, Activity & Toy Store staff:

T-shirt Up-cycling: 1 Session

Description: $20.00 per child Up-cycling – T-shirt to drawstring carry bag. Bring in your old t-shirt, use our pattern to convert it into a drawstring bag. Enhance your creation by using our beads to add extra flare. You supply the t-shirt and can-do attitude, we supply everything else. Note: Sewing machine used in class.

Create a Pendant: 2 Sessions

Description: $30.00 per student for both sessions Create your own fused glass pendant! You design and create your pendant. Your pendant is then fired in our kiln and you finish it during the second session. All materials included.

Lego Club – 3 Sessions

Description: 3 sessions once a week for 3 weeks Cost per child: $20.00 for all 3 sessions Everyone loves building with LEGOs – yes – young and old, boys and girls! That’s exactly what we do in LEGO Club. It’s amazing to watch the kids work together. First, as a group, they decide what they want to build. Next, they figure out who’s going to build each part. Then, they build and laugh and play. Finally, we put their masterpiece in the window for all to see! (Until next week when we break it down and build something different.) It’s all free-form building, and it’s all great!

Pk & K Bee Bot Programming Class – 3 Sessions

Description3 sessions $20.00 each child for all 3 sessions Have fun learning programming the BeeBot to find the target while reinforcing basic letter and number recognition skills.

ProBot Programming Geometric Designs – 3 Sessions

Description: 3 sessions Cost: $25.00 per child for all 3 sessions Learn to create a simple programs for geometric shapes. Children will then create a design plan that they will program and the robot will then draw.

Vase of Paper Flowers – 2 Sessions

Description: 2 sessions 1 hour per session Ages 6+ –  Cost: $25.00 per child for both sessions. Session 1: Decorate a vase & leave it to dry until the next session. Session 2: Create 2 or 3 paper flowers to go into your vase. All materials provided.

Beginner Chess Club

Description: 3 sessions 1 hour each session Ages 6+ –  Cost: $25.00 per child for all 3 sessions Learn basic chess moves and practice playing games against other club members.
